We are at the forefront of the design, installation, and maintenance of Modular Operation Theatres (MOT). Cygnus Tech Lab brings to you bespoke Modular Operation Theatres that are designed and built keeping in mind your clinical needs to provide the most efficient, cost-effective solution along with maximum functional utility.

Our MOT suites are state-of-the-art modular operation theatres designed in compliance with all relevant National and International Standards (including NABH, ISO 14644-1 Class 100 / ISO 5, DIN 1946-4, and HTM 03-01). Each suite assimilates all necessary modules customized to suit specific clinical needs, with options for integrating equipment such as surgical LED lights, OR tables, digital signal transmission, climate parameters, and medical gas alarm systems.

Hatch Box / Pass Box

Hygienic Transfer Hatches | Anti-Contamination

Hygienic transfer hatches that minimize the risk of contamination. Hatches are vital in an OT to provide a safe and easy way to transfer waste material from the theatre to the adjacent dirty lines area. Each hatch is equipped with two doors that operate electronically. The hatches are designed in such a way that only one should be open at one time. UV lights are installed in the chamber so that it is kept ON while both doors are closed, turning off automatically when either door is opened. Indicators on both sides of the OT maintain door open/close status from both ends.

Scrub Station

Manual & Sensor Controlled Scrub Sink

Easy to maintain, durable and custom designed as per OT layout. The scrub sink is available in manual mode with elbow, knee, or foot operation in single, double, or triple faucets. We provide splash-proof sensor-controlled scrub sinks made of stainless steel with superior quality adjustable faucets. The sensor detects the slightest movements and is pre-programmed with 1, 3, 6 and 10 minutes of scrub settings (customizable). Wall-mounted a few inches above the ground to keep floors clean, with a thermostatic valve provided to mix hot and cold water for surgeon comfort.

X-Ray View Box

Conforming to IEC 60601-1 STANDARDS

We provide X-Ray view boxes that facilitate viewing of the X-Ray with ease. Special ballast offers flicker-free illumination with a dimmer for optimum viewing. Available with features such as touch on/off button with multistage lighting intensity.

LAMINAR PLENUM

For Steady, Turbulence-Free & Clean Air

Laminar air flow ensures that the flow of air in the OR is continuous, steady, and unidirectional, moving with low uniform velocity in parallel planes. The air flows steadily without letting contaminated particles be picked up from one spot and deposited in another; instead, it ensures that they are carried away from the working area to the exhaust point. Easily accessible test ports can be provided (Optional).

RETURN RISER WITH GRILL

SS304 / Aluminum Powder Coated Grills

Exhaust air grill of SS304 or aluminum powder-coated mounted on exhaust air ducts. The grill is openable to facilitate cleaning of exhaust air cabinet ducts. Exhaust grid can be provided at both locations – close to floor and close to ceiling. Fluff strainer and damper can be provided as optional. Return air ducts from all corners of modular ceiling with built-in flush lights.

AHU (Air Handling Unit)

Compatible AHU & Outdoor Unit for each OR

The Air Handling Unit (AHU) is an integral part of an OR used to re-condition and circulate air as part of the heating, ventilating and air-conditioning system. The basic function of the AHU is to take in outside air, re-condition it and supply it as fresh air to the building. All exhaust air is removed, which creates an acceptable indoor air quality. Depending on the required temperature of the re-conditioned air, the fresh air is either heated via recovery unit or heating coil, or cooled by a cooling coil.

Sliding Door

Hermetically Sealing Door (Automatic & Manual)

The importance of clean air in the OR cannot be undermined. Hermetically sliding doors are specially designed to control air pressure and prevent infections and bacteria from entering the OR. The sliding doors also provide easier accessibility and better use of available space as compared to conventional door sets. Apart from standard sizes, we offer these doors in customization as per your specific requirements.

Display & Control Panel (Conforming to IEC 60601-1)

Concentrate on the patient needs; for the rest we are there. All the controls of the modular operation theatre are provided on a membrane type or touchscreen microcontroller-based electric control panel mounted in the room wall. Our control panel meets electrical safety codes for high and low voltage systems. It is user-friendly, made with superior quality UV-resistant membrane with sterilization feature, displaying all parameters simultaneously.

Storage

Storage Unit | Wall-Integrated Storage

A convenient storage option with wall-integrated storage unit for all storage needs in the OT. The units come with antibacterial paint coating and clear glass panels with magnetic catchers. The wall-integrated storage unit can be affixed with cladding inside the unit that is the same as the OR wall panels.

AHU DB

AHU Distribution Board & Power Control

Dedicated electrical distribution board (AHU DB) designed specifically for the Air Handling Unit and outdoor unit integration. It regulates motor power supply, phase monitoring, starters, and safety interlocks with the Surgeon Control Panel for direct inside-OT control.

PRD (Pressure Relief Damper)

Robust, Maintenance-Free and Functional

Pressure relief dampers (PRD) are placed to prevent excess pressure in the OT. The AHU pumps in a lot of air every minute and the OT is hermetically sealed. PRDs are placed strategically in the OT to equalize the air pressure in the OT by opening just for micro-seconds.

Galvanized Steel Ducting & Thermal Insulation

Air distribution ducting network engineered for optimal airflow from the AHU to the laminar airflow ceiling plenum and return air risers. Fabricated from heavy-gauge galvanized steel sheet with airtight jointing and insulated with high-efficiency thermal insulation to prevent heat loss, condensation, and noise transmission in the OT suite.

Motorized Fire & Smoke Barrier Damper

Motorized fire dampers equipped with electrical actuators positioned at duct crossings through firewall boundaries. Automatically seals off air supply and exhaust paths in case of smoke or thermal trigger, isolating the modular operating theatre from external hazards.
